In the off season I usually am snowboarding some where... But this summer I have taken some time off to just relax and enjoy summer life. Tanning, rock climbing, hiking, long boarding, biking, beaches, sunsets, fishing, all the nerdy stuff you can do. Chucky took me on some serious climbing routes that got my adrenaline going harder than anything I have ever done snowboarding. I'm ridiculously scared of heights, but I got over it real fast. It's been fun... My friend sent me this song today, check it out (Fever Ray "When I grow up") I like it, always good times. Live in love :)

NYC...Hide N Seek Golf style

Just a little bit ago I got back from the big city... New York City. As you can see in the photo of the map I took a little detour flying in but I made it. The team goes out every year to do some meetings and stuff about all the product, it really is rider driven! But to me it for sure did not feel like meetings. We enjoyed a few nights in the city, tanned by the pool, baked some amazing delicious cookies, I got to meet Mr. Met right in Jakes house and to top it off we got to play hide and seek in golf carts around the golf course out back. I Kinda felt like I was a little kid again. I was team captain and Donna was team captain and lets just say it got heated. It was a little intense, we went four wheeling and got stuck and it lasted till I think 2am. We ended our fun with the last night at a really nice mexican place at sunset. Gonna miss everyone for the summer... See you all soon :) Much Love

Where did the season go?

I can't believe the season is over, the last month I ended up in some random fun places... Started off with being in Whistler the same time as grenade games, that went over well. There was a rock star party that we all got snazzzed up for. Then I headed to Aspen for a shoot, so fun being reunited with the big diverse family of burton girls. We had a nice family dinner and headed to Tahoe for a long week of playing in the rain. I then took a 10 hour detour to Mammoth and Laguna Beach to go hang out with some friends, and it was worth it after our yogurtland experience...BIG shout out to Kacky Kilgore Brown, your style is fresh tah death.... Much Love :)

So...after a long night of c-low last night I woke up this morning to Bev throwing this piece of paper in my face. I guess I made a $100 bet on one roll, and lost, then lost some more. Awesome.

West Virginia snowshoe camp to HOMECOMING!

Oh beautiful Snowshoe... I spent a few long days in Snowshoe, WV. It wasn't my first time there so I knew exactly what to expect, and I got it. Rain, fog, mist, fun times. Burton put on a all girls shred camp that I got to coach, and I think I got more out of it then the actual campers. It was my first time teaching someone how to turn on their snowboard, and just stand up. It brought me back to the good old days, and kind of grounded me in a way. It was so fun to teach someone their first turn down the mountain and even better to see them faceplant and get up with a big smile, sometimes. We had a great time, and one of the campers Jill even gave me a necklace that she made and i'll never take off... its full of good positive energy. So I packed up and headed on a 5 hour drive with Mark to Pennsylvania for Kristi Leskinans "Homecoming" contest. It's a all girls ski and snowboard contest. I actually can't even use the word contest because it felt like SPRING BREAK 09' with some snowboarding involved. All the fun times ended with a cap 7 to black eye for me. whoooooo Spring break 09'! Snowboarding in HAWAII... bitches

I just got back from Kona, Hawaii a few days ago ...I left my house in a blizzard with my board bag and only 8 hours later was in Hawaii where its 80 degrees on the beach. We had a blast, we tanned everyday, surfed, jet skied, scuba dived and all the above and also snowboarded... It was wild snowboarding 15,000 feet up looking down at the ocean and the other islands. We fell asleep on the concrete, we were beat, life was rough in Hawaii. The snow was a little hard hahah I mean it wasn't powder but we had fun,we laughed the entire trip I actually woke up with my abs hurting... Bitch Love

First Time for Everything...

So my little niece (Charlize) is turning 4 next month and what better to get her then a snowboard set-up for Christmas. Thanks to everyone at Burton I got her a nice little 90 board with a sweet little band-aide design and some pink boots and bindings, her favorite color of course. This is her first day... she was pretty darn cute, shes got her little pose down for the camera.

Ginger Bread COOKIE Party!

So it's almost Thanksgiving time and what else is there to do when there's not much snow then make cookies. Soooo Elena and I decided to host the second annual Gingerbread Cookie contest at my house. It went amazing... dinosaurs,mouses, Kenny from Southpark and many others were shaped and frosted. Today I am thankful for cookies bringing memories and good laughs, the snow we do have, and life. I hope everyone has a amazing Thanksgiving, and I will keep you posted on how my first turkey dinner feast from scratch turns out. Much Love :)

Africa to the Alps

Hannah, Owen and I are headed to the Alps in Switzerland, and on a train where you drive on and park, so were in the car but on the train..crazyness. We just got back from Africa, and I cant even put on paper our experiences, but i'll try... It was such a culture/reality shock of what's really going on in third world countries. You see on television those commercials of skinny kids with no food, and yea I always change the channel. When that kid is holding your hand and your hearing his story and meeting his family and seeing where he lives, its no longer surreal and you can't just change the channel. We met one boy that has HIV and he's only 8. We played with over 2,000 kids that have never seen a white person in their life, we talked with girls that ran away from home fearing marriage and FGM at only 10 years of age. There were so many times in the trip I cried, and there were so many times I was laughing uncontrollably... Even though we only had the word Jambo in common with them, we still found a way to connect through teaching, animating and singing. I will never forget teaching 50+ kids the words to Bob Marley's song "Don't worry...every things going to be alright..." These people have nothing, barely a home, yet they were the happiest people I have ever met in my life. I learned so much from them and their high spirits, I think everyone has something to learn over in Kirindon. Kwaheynoow & Much Love :)
